Dive Buddies/Significant Others

This is itneresting, I guess I shoulda known guys would have responded to a survey in "Women's Issues", I know that many men have significant others who do not dive, these are the guys I see on most of the dive boats.

I was originally interested in finding out if most of the women who DO dive, do so because a SO turned them onto it, of it they found it by themselves and are now encouraging a male to dive....

Oh well,
something to think about for "next time"

Same thing here. I have been trying to talk her into trying it out, but its not working.

My wife and I both had always wanted to dive but neither of us had ever acted on it. Turned out to happen by mutual decision.

While on a cruise back in 2000, we did a snorkle trip over the wreck of the Antilla in Aruba. Really got jazzed watching the divers below us on the wreck so we signed up to do the Animal Encounter dive at the Curacao Sea Aquarium later in the week. That was all it took. We signed up for an OW course once we got back home. 11 years and lots of dives later, we hold DM certs and we're still loving it as much as that first dive.

Oh, and we did go back and dive the Antilla...

i usuly click on teh 'new posts' and scroll through the list, paying no attition to what section the threads are in.

I never pay attention to the section a thread is posted to. If the subject looks interesting I'll read it. Until this moment I didn't realize this was posted in Women's Issues. If you had used "LADIES, which of the following is true of your husband?" I would have realized I was in the Women's Issues section.

I have been trying for a year to get my better half interested in diving, and she gave in a couple of weeks ago and did a discover scuba class......
Lets just say I will still be looking for buddies when I go diving.
