    Photo upload problem

Need a little help. When I try to upload an image to my gallery I keep getting this message "getimagesize error: FILE NOT OK". I have resized the image to 600x450 and its a jpeg. I haven't loaded any images in a long time. I'd rather not start an online photo account like photobucket because I'd never use it again. Any suggestions?

go much smaller...I'm not sure what's available on the internet for decreasing pixel count...Must get low...Not sure on the numbers but go as low as possible then resize bigger...I think my windows 7 came with a newer photo resizing if you have it give it a shot.

The size of your image is not a problem. We have much larger images here. It appears the file format may not be valid.

I resized the image using Photoshop and saved it as a JPEG. Is there a different format I should try? The original picture was downloaded from a Canon camera as was a 3072 x 2304 jpeg. It wouldn't upload either, I assumed because it was too large.

I am having the same problem. Does not matter what size the photo is, I keep getting the error. Have not tried to upload other formats though.

Just tried to upload and it failed. Small image (270x350). After clicking the Upload button, it did nothing. No response. Nada. Zip. Clicking button multiple times garnered nothing.

I'm surprised vBulletine doesn't handle that size problem more elegantly. It's PHP, so if there is an error on upload, an error code is returned that can (and should be) displayed to the user. When I develop forum code, I try to ensure my users are informed of problems. I also store their form data in a $_SESSION array so that when they hit the back button, the fields are restored. vBulletin doesn't do that either.
