    I have done it.....

I have done it, the internet might just explode from this one. I have been looking for a set of scubapro jet fins, and well ST does not carry them, this lead me to check other sites out... .which.. meh, I do not like doing, I can drive down the road and talk to the guys at ST 6 days a week (when I am not traveling) and get TONS of good info, and TONS of great gear at a great price. Well while looking around, I found 1 item that ST is not the cheapest on... the oms slip streams... and holy dog crap... i about came unglued.. now I will either get the scuba pros from somewhere else, or just go in to ST and buy Either the OMS slip streams or the Hollis F1s.. but wow... I was shocked, I was expecting a gremlin to jump out of my screen and attack me for looking else where Sorry guys I will not let that happen again.

Stay away from the Hollis IMO. Go with the SP 1st, slips 2nd. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The best is always copied.

I say shop around. ST will often match prices from reputable retailers.

I'm a OMS Slipstream diver and like em, haven't tried the SP Jets though. Keep in mind the Slipstreams are lighter than the the Jets so if you tend to have floaty feet you may want to get something heavier.

I've used both the SP jets and the OMS and prefer the OMS since they are lighter and seem a bit stiffer to. Being lighter is great for traveling. If you are gonna use them with a dry suit though you might want the SP jets for the extra weight.
If you get confused listen to the music play.
To much of everything is just enough.

After reading all the positive posts on SP Jet fins I decided I'd try a pair out last week with the BP/Wing, and I REALLY liked them.

I just picked up a brand new, in the box, pair of Jet fins for $21.50 off eBay!

What is it about the Hollis fins that you don't like DiveHard?

ETA: I ask in a genuine interest in your opinion. No accusation or confrontation implied.

I dive Slipstreams but I would not say that the Hollis are inferior in any way, the SP Jets are good also. They are a little longer and heavier but still a good fin. It really comes down to the fit and your personal preference.

    Recon,

Will we be seeing you at CSSP soon?
