    Higgins Lake

Not the Great Lakes but it is surrounded by them. The wife and I are planning on hitting Higgens Lake tomorrow. I know it is short notice but if any one is close by and would like to meet up let me know. Also if any one ever heads that way and would like to meet up let me know it isnt too far for us.

I am interested in diving a lot of different lakes this year. I can't make tomorrow. I would like a dive report when you are done. Have a good time! We were supposed to have a few scattered showers, but we must have gotten 8 or more hours of fairly steady rain today. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better.

Will do. Drove up there today but didnt do any diving. Looks like it is only supposed to rain in the morning. Keep the fingers crossed. Probably could have went today but didnt feel like getting wet trying to put on the undergarments for the drysuit. lol

I was diving last week with water temps in the 48-54 degrees (F) range. Of course that isn't a problem when you are in a drysuit. I handle cold pretty well so the temps weren't bad except that the lips were pretty numb.

Ross Township Park, Gull Lake. Near Battle Creek, Kalamazoo. It is popular with the dive shops for training. Easy shore entry, lots of divers, lots to see: boats (small 12-15 footers), fish shanty, railroad tracks, car, phone booth, who knows what else is waiting to be found.

Have a good time! It might be warmer in the water than air temps...the forecast for Battle Creek/Kalamazoo is 51 degrees for tomorrow
