Congrats Noob, wreck is next on my list. I'm planning to eventually head toward Lake Michigan sometime also. We checked out the outside of the plane and I'd like to come back once I'm trained to see the inside.
    What, me worry?

Oh no, A cave wont be anytime soon. I have a lot of things to learn before I even sign up for a cave class if ever. I really enjoy wrecks. They are just fascinating to me.
What do you mean by "wreck cert"? A wreck "specialty" class is basically an introduction to the skills and gear you will need, and a pointer to get you started not a measure of competence. It's ok for swim thrus and light penetration. Serious wreck penetration should be held in the same respect as full cave penetration, as it can be as or more dangerous, and requires the same level of skills, training, and gear.
The water's more exciting.. with CHUM in it!

Its the padi specialty. Not a full penetration class. I'm not that advanced yet for that complicated of a dive. I took the class to see if its something I'll enjoy and want to further my education in and it is. But it will take time and more dives to get down what I have just learned before moving on.
