    starting my AOW next Sunday

Starting my AOW next Sunday June 25th with deep and nav dive and last dives on July 5th.
Should be fun, I can't wait.
    any tips?

I'd dry-run some nav legs with my compass to build confidence. Become more familiar with your instrument and practice following a heading, making 90 and 180 degree turns, and any other skills indicated in your manual. Have a great time and tell us how it went!

As Chilly said: Have fun. do a little land practice with your compass and read through the book ahead of time so you have a good idea of what questions to ask.

Relax and have fun. As said, work on compess skills on land so you are familiar with the compass.

    Will do..
I've done the reviews in the book this past week,
and have been doing some on-land compass drills just to familiarize myself more with it.
Last time I messed with a compass was almost 30 years ago in boy scouts.
On tuesday I'm meeting up with an MSDT buddy of mine to do some parking lot compass patterns, etc.
thanks , I'll post up when I can.

Did my Navigation, Deep, and Boat dives yesterday at a site called Barracuda alley here in SC about 10-12 miles off coast.
Viz was great and saw an incredible number of fish.
Schools and schools of fish all surrounding me.. was a great day of diving.
Unfortunately no video of it, cuz the instructor wanted me to focus on skills instead of camera work, so maybe next time i'll get video of this site. it was incredible.

So now only 2 dives left for my Wreck dive and PPB to do on July 5th, then I'm AOW.
    sweet..

After that, I'm on to Nitrox class.

With AOW nearly behind you, consider Rescue Diver. I had a lot of fun in that class, built confidence (I had only 20 dives total at that time), learned a lot, and was really challenged. You'll have to take EFR/O2/CPR/AED as well. These are often combined in two courses.

That dive in and of itself sounds totally cool. Give us a full report please.
