That's disappointing. Maybe next time - we plan to spend some more time up there soon, and that will be devoted to diving.

If your plans change, we're on the Helen C diving the Gaskin and Lillie.

Well, I'm back. It was a good morning about the Helen C. The boat was full with a bunch of friendly divers of varying experience that were a pleasure to talk to.

My wife and I were lucky enough to be sitting near a gentleman with a lot of experience on these wrecks who volunteered to be our insta-buddy as we were jumping in. He really made our day showing us around the wrecks and organizing a longer drift off the Lillie. The current was strong and that particular drift dive made Cozumel look like a still pool!

All things said and done, we'd like to go back again soon to explore some of the other wrecks.

Sounds like you had a good time. The Lillie is one of my favourite dives. Did you drift onto the Lillie? Or did you pull yourself down the chain?

If you want to read up on more of the wrecks in the area go to ScubaQ and click on the link for the St. Lawrence River (down the left hand side).

If you like current, you should check out the Kinghorn as well. The current runs from bow to stern. I like to get over the wreck, let the current take me over the wreck, drop down out of the current at the stern, go in through a hole in the back of the wreck, swim up to the bow inside the wreck then pop up at the front and let the current take me over the wreck again.

It's nice to see advice from people familiar with these areas! I'm looking forward to diving there in the near future as I live pretty close
