    Whale Sharks In Cancun

I went to Cancun yesterday and swam with about 30 whale sharks. It was pretty amazing. We went out about an hour and half by speedboat and jumped off into blue water with no bottom and swam with these wonderful gentle creatures. Here is a link to some of the footage.

That is awesome! Great shots and a great opportunity.

I once saved a man in Wichita just to watch him dive...(inventor)

Sounds amazing! I hope to get a chance to that someday.

Video won't play on my iphone, but I'll be sure to check again when I get to a real computer!

Awesome! The video came out great.

How much "in water" time did they allow you? What kind of restrictions are there for interaction with the sharks?

The boat had 7-8 people and two people in the water at one time. You would be in about (I'm guessing ) 5-10 mins. Everyone got two turns so maybe 15 mins total. Again I never looked at a watch I was so pumped. I managed three times in the water I got on well with the guide and I was in the water quick. Thats key they are moving the boat around with the sharks so speed is key. When he says "jump" you need to be ready.

One older woman panicked and did not want to go again so maybe I got her turn. Either way I tipped double and let him know I had a great time!

Of course no touching. It was hard at times the sharks would feed not really watching out for you. I was filming one turned to the left ane I am staring face to face with a whale shark that avoidided me by inches I was screaming like an excited little girl into my snorkel. I wanted to touch it so bad!
