Boaters buy the normal fishing and boat licenses.

    Hey All,

Word on the street is we are allowed to dive at Mt. Storm again! Apparently DNR has set up a few basic rules:

    1. Divers must pick up their trash and keep the area clean.

    2. All divers must use the diver entry area, meaning the step area, and are not to enter the water near the boat dock.

    3. Divers are to use as little parking space as possible. If you bring a tarp, or tent or canopy it is to be infront of your vehicle and not beside it. In other words, only one spot per vehicle.

Doesn't sound bad at all. Most of us did this anyway. And I hear DNR will be patrolling the area a little more often, so make sure you use those dive flags.

Yes, Storm is open for diving again. However, there are on going negotiations that will take place over the winter with new rules, policies and expectations that will likely take place beginning with the new dive season in 2012. In the meantime all the points highlighted by Mocepts should be followed. We aren't completely out of the woods yet but at least we are diving. :O) Safe diving, enjoy.
