My boy is taking the plunge

I got the okay from my wife for our 13 year old to take scuba lessons. I'm going to take a refresher course at the same time that he's taking OW class. I'm looking forward to diving many years with him.

Excellent! I saw a number of young divers this weekend. Congrats and I hope you have a great buddy for years to come.

I once saved a man in Wichita just to watch him dive...(inventor)

I totally blame my daughter for this addiction.
Congrats--you both will get a huge benefit.

Taking a refresher is a great idea. When my daughter decided at 10yo to get certified, my older son and I went for rescue diver mainly to further develop skills...

How's he doing in the class?

He took his open water dives this past weekend and he's now certified. I'm sure glad I took the the class with him. It was a blast and everything came back to me. Looking forward to many years of diving with him. The only draw back is that I have to buy twice as much gear.

Well, it's probably more than just twice as much gear. He'll probably outgrow at least one set of his stuff. Maybe two!
