    Zeagle Brigade Question

I am so excited! I just ordered a new Brigade today and can't wait to dive! I sold my Tusa Platina Evolution Jacket BC and bought the Brigade based on the amazing reviews.

My question is this. Do I need the Zeagle, yellow weight pockets? I use the soft lead bag weights and don't know if those are necessary or not.

Please chime in with any info.

    Thanks

I use the Zeagle Stiletto and I don't need the yellow weight pockets. Glad to see a fellow NW Arkansas diver on here!

Thanks for the reply. Have you been to Beaver lately? I'm wondering if the algae bloom is over. I dove there about 3 weeks ago and had about 10' of viz........

I think it's been about the same for me as well. Did the Bluffs about 3 weeks ago and viz was spotty, anywhere from 5'-15'. I'm hoping to get out next week so hopefully it's cleared up. If you're ever looking for a dive buddy in the area let me know!

I have the Zeagle Stiletto and I use the yellow pouches as it makes it easier to take the weight out of the BC. When I am using my own weights and there are four of us in my family that dive, it makes it easy to figure out who's weight is who's.

I was worried that some of the smaller (shot style) weights would slip through the rip cord. I have my name on each pouch so there is no doubt who's weight it is on the boat. I generally hand my weights to the deck hand before getting out of the water; as well as getting the gear off the boat.

Your question are they necessary? I don't dive the brigade but I think you can get away without using the pouches.

@ Zeagle - Thanks for the info. I will probably invest in the pouches to add the convenience factor

@ Vlane - I will definitely send you a pm when I head to Beaver again! Thanks fellow Arkie

You could probably get by without having the yellow pouches.
I like them just for the convenience of it.
Might just be me but it seems to keep all the weight in one place instead of shifting around a little.
Congrats on the brigade, I love my Ranger.

Thanks JLeFever! It's a big step up from a Tusa Platina Evolution jacket bc! My work buddy has a Aqua Lung back inflate that he let me try and I fell in love with that style of bc. After lots of research, I opted for the Brigade. I can't WAIT to go dive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless you use 1 pound weights, you won't "need" the yellow thingies...but they are a nice convenience when you own your own weights.
ScubaToys and Zeagle....it just doesn't get better than that!
