The Cave bugs bite hard in the Cavern Zone!!

Labor Day weekend marked the completion of my Cavern cert through NAUI/NACD!! I have been practicing my skills leading up to class in OW friendly Caverns such as Devils Den, Blue Grotto, Paradise Spring and Ginnie Ballroom. It was not my intention to continue into Full Cave training until other certification goals of Wreck and IANTD were completed.

Well.. that was until my Instructor took me to Peacock I. Once inside my team was set upon by the biggest Cave bugs! Upon successful completion of Cavern we were given an Intro to Cave dive. That's all it took! Now it's full tilt toward full Cave!
By next year this time I hope to have the sidemount gear I want and the skill sets with it to move forward with the new goal. No one can resist the power of the DARK SIDE!
There is a God... Come diving I'll show you!!
Just found out I'm an Infidel! Translation: FREE!!

Welcome to the dark side (unless you buy an 21 watt HID that is)

I got hooked in 2002. 9+ years and a *lot* of miles driving from Indiana to Florida later - still love it.

Peacock is one of my favorite systems in the Luraville area. There are years worth of dives to do there including the grand traverse, crypt, and Hendleys Castle.

Hey DiveHard, now all you have to do is get one of those tech lights like Vegas has. You know, the kind that will burn a 3 foot hole in the drywall from across the room.

    It's only impossible.

Yea and boils the water a foot in front of it!

Dive buddy of mine has a DIY canister LED that puts out 1000 lumens and runs for 3hrs. Total build cost $250. Looking to put one together soon. Just as bright, focused and reliable as a $1000 LED.

Dig your new avatar! Insane clown posse mascot?

Nice! Let me know the DIY details.

The new avatar is my roommie's dog, alseep on her couch upside down, with her head hanging off. I rotated the pic to post as my avatar for awhile. Just think it's really funny looking.

War ye be cavin', ye scurvy, bug bitten, so and so?

    It's only impossible.
