Question about the Mach V Inflator hose

Recently switched from my Brigade to the BP/W and love it... the only thing I miss is the length of the inflator hose... on the Mach V it seems to be on the short end... is it me or has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the fix?

    Thanks,

Oxycheq offers various lengths for the inflator hoses.
Is your inflator hose a 16" or 22".
I use a 16" hose on my doubles and a 22" hose on my singles.

except I use the longer hose on my doubles because the inflator connection in back is in the center on that set so it puts the hose about in the same place as my single setup.

thanks I will order a new one... now I have never took an inflator apart but isnt there a cable in there so that when you pull on the inflator it dumps air? if so do I need to order a longer cable as well?

    Thanks,

There isn't any cable. As simple as cutting the zip ties, replacing the hose and cinching it back up with some zip ties.

Any should fit as long it is the same diameter. If yours did have a cable or you want to add a cable for shoulder dump it is just a matter of pushing a pin in and out of a hole and putting the loop in the cable through it.

Use the shorter Halcyon hoses on my 2 Mach V's. Superior hose IMO.

Tip: Lube the inside of the hose with vegetable oil. It makes slipping the hose on the elbow and inflator very easy. Then when the oil "dries", it gets tacky and won't be inclined to slip. I always use 2 zip ties at each connection anyway.

I use a slightly longer Dive Rite hose with pull dump on my Mach V Extreme. It came as one piece, so I just screwed it on. Pull dumps are not recommended, but it is what I am used to. DiveRiteExpress DiveGearExpress does not list them on the website anymore. But might give them a call if interested. I will measure it tonight.
