Apple is not all that when it comes to service, trust me. I own android just saying

I should add that Zeagle asked for a picture before I sent it back, the same one I just posted now. If they were not going to honor the warranty I wish they would have told me at that point and saved me considerable shipping charges (Thailand) Now I suspect that they will charge me to send it back the way it is. Sorry if this offends Zeagle fanboys (of which I was one) but this is just plain poor service. They need to take a page from Apple when it comes to warranty.

We do service on Apple, and a multitude of Android devices.
So I have to work with the manufacturers

Shocker to me as well. Interestingly, you didn't hear about poor customer service when Scott was around because he would jump on it and make it right.

I know, it's been really tough for me knowing Scott isn't at Zeagle any more. I'll especially miss seeing him at the local dive shows/events twice each year since it was the only time we got to visit in person, but at least there's still the internet. I don't know the circumstances of his leaving (and I haven't asked), but it was soon after the sale of Zeagle.
ScubaToys and Zeagle....it just doesn't get better than that!

This is absolutely not the Zeagle now that any of you are describing from the past. I have sent 2 emails and left a voice mail message yesterday asking for an explanation on why this is not a warranty issue. No response at all. I will not pay $250 for a new bladder ( which probably costs $50 to make) when a new Brigade is $450, not that I would ever buy another Zeagle product. VERY disappointed........

I sent it back to Zeagle and they say this is not a warranty issue, and get this, they want $249.30 for just the bladder!!!

So much for a life time warranty.....
i believe you are talking about the threaded (whitish) valve ? it is the same at both the inflator (shoulder location) and the dump valve (butt location). Unfortunately , yes - that part is not under warranty (well probably if you just bought it like a month and it cracked... ) , but in general there is no BC manufacturer that warranties against that. Warranties are normally against seams (RF welding). I dont think cuts to the bladder are protected by warranty as well , but then it also depends on who is attending to you.

the valve normally cracks due to either lack of usage (dry rot - similar to a cheap snorkel if you leave it idle for like a few years) , or very extensive usage. The material's properties are just inherent unfortunately.

you can actually get parts replacement parts (mainly used for SMBs OPV but the same thing) , and get aquaseal to seal it. Not that pretty, but it works - i did one for a friend 3 years back ,and it still works after like 200+ dives. Problem is these parts, while cheap, have the same mechanical properties (ie it will crack after a while)

i know of a few suppliers that had changed those parts to delrin (but can only verify 1) and this will no longer be an issue since delrin's mechanical properties are way tougher.

    so a way out
    a) get cheap parts for replacement - PM me if you need to , i can walk you through it
    b) there are off the shelf parts for it out in the market - good quality, but too costly. for the price of 2 of those, its better to get a new BC with new valves , etc
    c) give up diving
