    Dry suit or 7mm

I have never gone diving in southern Lake Michigan I have swam there plenty. My question is this has anyone used both a 7mm wet suit anda dry suit during the Summer in LM. I know a dry suit is the warmest option but is 7mm good for occasional LM diving?
    Thanks

I would vote drysuit myself. Depending on when you are diving and where, the 7mm might be good enough. The Great lakes are a lil chilly most of the time. I am a big believer in the idea of midwest divers going dry. You will find that diving will no longer be a season, and that chilly or down right cold dive can actually be warmer and fun.

I would say the drysuit or the 7mm....not together. LOL I actually prefer the freedom on the wetsuit over the drysuit...but the warmth of the drysuit.

After buying my drysuit I sold my 7 mil because if it cold enough to dive 7 mil I'm going to dive dry. Besides if cold outside getting out of the water wet is not my idea of fun.

I would normally say dry but we dove last August and Air temp was 85, water temps were 72. Did two shallow dives 30'- 35' and just couldn't justify dragging out the dry suit. Was actually too warm for a 7ml. Oh and vis was 2-8 ft. It was a strange day on the lake.
    What, me worry?
