Mother nature sure can be a B....!

Once again, WTH? WE're scheduled for a record low of 26f here tonight. This can't be April, it has to have been a time shift to Febuary or maybe early March... I'm way, Way WAY done with this cold stuff. It's now crowding into dive time.

I once saved a man in Wichita just to watch him dive...(inventor)

Yesterday, we were in the 60's. Today we might make 40, after the snow ends.

Five inches of rain a couple days ago, flurries today, low of 28 tonight, 30-35 mph winds, Rock River near record highs, Green Riiver near record highs, Mississippi River over flood stage an rising and I've been sandbagging for four straight days. All this water and no place to dive. I gotta move south.
    What, me worry?

Where else can you get tornado, flood, thunderstorm, snow, and freeze warnings all within 3 days?

You know what is going to happen, we will go from winter directly into summer at some point.

My curiosity got the best of me when I purchased the book 2052. Talks about (among other things) the changing climate due to the major increase of greenhouse gases we (as well as nature itself ) put into the environment. In it they state that the majority of the world's population will only begin to demand cleaner energy alternatives and carbon capture, once the weather gets to be so severe and unseasonal. I'm not sure I yet buy the research. However, there is no mistaking to me that the climate is changing. Safe to say though that earth's climate does change. Some say it can quickly. Others slowly over long periods of time. All I know is in the 40+ years I have lived on this planet I believe I have noticed a change. It didn't take a politician or book to tell me either.

Took a trip up to the north part of Michigan today. From the 45 degree latitude line (also known as the 45th parallel or half-way between the equator and the north pole), the lakes are still ice covered. A truly amazing end to April.
