    Lightroom 5

I am looking at photo editing software. I can't afford a full version of photoshop but have read good things about Lightroom. Yes, no, thoughts on other editing software in the 100$ range?
If it doesn't fit, force it. If it breaks it needed to be replaced anyway.

donna loves adobe's emtry level software photoshop elements. I kind of liked dark room.
It seemed like photoshop for photographers. the full photoshop has a lot of design and graphics elements not needed for most digital photography post production.

I use Paintshop Pro, new version coming out now, http://www.corel.com/corel/product/i...id=prod5130100 , seems to do everything and a lot cheaper. Tried photoshop years ago, although probably totally different now, I found the parts that I used weren't that much different from any of the programs out there.

My boss is loving Vivid Pix http://www.vivid-pix.com/ . It is made special for underwater pictures and the light and colour problems we face. $49 Mac or Windows. I'm not sure how much computer horsepower is needed but it bears looking into.

I have downloaded the trial versions of Vivid pix, Photoshop elements so far. Lightroom trial has been difficult to get, had to use a browser other that ie. Strange as elements is also a adobe product and it worked easy. Thanks BUDMAN but I avoid google whenever I can, just a issue a few years ago but I am extremely hard headed. I haven't got back to Corel yet still working on it. Thanks for the suggestions.

I use Lightroom 4.3 and Photoshop Elements 9. I like Elements better.

For advanced features in an ease of use user interface, it is hard to beat elements.
I even ditch Premiere Pro and use Premiere elements in video sometime. They make a very good entry level product.
