    Snorkelling in Coz

My sister & her husband don't scubs dive yet but do snorkel. She asked me about Coz. Are there good spots for snorkelling?> My brother has off a beach and I think columbia shallows would work. Most of the reefs you can see from the surface that I've seen. I quit snorkelling because I burn so bad from the sun. Just dive. Any suggestions?

My wife isn't a diver so she snorkels when we go to Coz. If you want to take boat trips to snorkel there are a few snorkel operators that work from the harbor. Mystic snorkeling is a pretty good operator. The snorkeling from shore is pretty decent from in front of Hotel Cozumel and Scuba Club down to the light house.

Thanks, my brother has snorkelled at the corona bar several times and said it was pretty decent. I googled it and came up with a pretty decent website covering most of the beaches. They also mentioned Mystic & they responded to my suster the next day. But her husband is scared that it's "Mexico" and the cartels are running around shooting everyone. Can't tell him different on it. She said she might just come with us & leave him at home.

Just remember if you do some shore snorkeling. The currents can rip. Best to take an SMB.

Currents very mild on horeshoe this morning. A liitle more brisk at santa rosa but nothing you could not manage. For the first time in my diving life, I recognised a coral head from a previous dive
