You might be an 80s man.

I need some help putting together a list of criteria that would qualify a person for the honorific, "80s Man."

The first one that comes to mind is:

If you have ever accepted a job because one of the perks was access to a WATS line...you might be an 80s man.

If your new computer had a drive for one of these:

    hdfloppy.jpg

IBM started using the 720 KB double density 3-inch microfloppy disk on its Convertible laptop computer in 1986 and the 1.44 MB high density version with the PS/2 line in 1987.
If you remember when this was released on cassette:

    November 30, 1982

    Thriller, Release date

If you remember what cassettes were....LOL

If you remember when MTV actually played music videos most of the day...

When I saw the title, I was thinking: "Aw geez, not another steel vs. aluminum tank thread..."

I once saved a man in Wichita just to watch him dive...(inventor)

Speaking of 1980s computer issues. Do you remember the Bobbitt computer virus?

80's are nice but 100's are better. More bottom time.

I had dual 720K floppies in my "portable" computer. Looked like a singer sewing machine with about a 8 inch orange screen!

TI99-4a, trs80, commodore, the ghetto blaster - beta vs. vhs, video disc (not laser disc, video disc) http://www.cedmagic.com/museum/ced-p...de/sft100.html

computers that didn't have disk drives but used audio tapes....

added in edit: dot matrix printers - I know they still exist, but now it's more like a bigfoot sighting. You can tell me you saw one, but I'll simply insist you must have been drunk.
Slowly exhale, relax, your brain will kick in...and if you can breath and think calmly, there's not too much you can't figure out, in any part of life.

It was a bad one. It destroys your hard-drive and leaves you with a 3.5" floppy.
