Thread: So what can I expect to pay for annual regulator service?

So what can I expect to pay for annual regulator service?

I have unfortunately been on a hiatus from diving but plan on getting wet as soon as possible. I need to have my Aqualung 1st stage, 2nd stage Aqualung Legend, octo aqualung Titan and my computer serviced so what can I expect to pay? Or should I say what is a reasonable price at the LDS? One place quoted about $150 but that seems high, would love to have ScubaToys do it but don't think they don't service Aqualung. Thank you

    Joe

Have a read of http://www.scubatoys.com/store/regs/regrepair.asp. This is ScubaToys regulator repair page. There is a toll-free number on the page as well so you can ask details. I work at a scuba shop in Canada and have the owner service my regulators but if I had to pay regular pricing I would probably send them to ScubaToys.

Yes I would definitely prefer to send them to Scuba Toys as they have always been great but they don't service Aqualung.

Hmm, I guess I would go to http://www.aqualung.com/us/ and enter my zip code at the top of page. That is a place to find a local dealer. Then you can check with local dealers to see if you can find out someone with a reasonable price.

I've also heard good things about Force-E in Florida (http://www.force-e.com/equipment-ser...ce-department/) but mostly as a dive shop for booking trips. I have no idea how good their service department but maybe ask around and see if anyone gets their regs serviced by them.

I did that and it listed all the LDS i have tried. So Really all I'm asking is what people pay on average at their LDS when you get your annual service?

For the regulator set (first, second, octo) I believe my shop charges $60 plus parts. Parts are around $10 to $20 but we don't do Aqualung. The computers we sell have user changeable batteries. So there isn't really anything we need to do for servicing computers.

Thank you very much scubadiver888, that was what I was expecting to pay and sounds much more reasonable. The LDS I contacted wants $150-$160 including parts.
