    This might be useful.

    I just came across this and thought it might be useful. I have not tried the product so I have no idea how well it will stick to a tank but it is made to be used underwater.

    I sent an email to them asking about it's usefulness and durability for diving. I'll share their answer.

    Well, since my email address just happens to include "navyhmc", I'm sure they were excited that they may have another navy account in the future so their reply was understandably towards the military end of the spectrum, but they did give some good information:

    The APALS has been tested to 200' in the lab and 180' in the ocean. The adhesive back ones will attach easily to a tank, the said 2 dives but I'm not sure if that was apply and remove or left on. Hopefully, they'll get back with me on that question. They also have one that could be attached to a tank with line.

    Neat - but ... I have a stick light that has replaceable batteries and about the same runtime. I think that would be a greener alternative.
