Thanks DD and Joey. DD I know you like those pizzas at mega mart , but get to burger joint they are awesome. Love the burrito spot too . Haven't heard about LE CHEF. Looks good gonna have to try them. As always we asks the DM's at Dive Paradise . That's lead us to any great local spots.

Ate at Burritos Gorditos last trip, and it was yummy!! Our old favorite Mission Parilla moved from 30th back to Calle 1 Sur por Av. 50 Sur, Adolfo López Mateos. Not as good as the old days, but the location on the same property as Casa Mission is beautiful. And of course El Moro back in the hood (80 Avenue between 2 and 4 Streets North) is always delicious!!! In town we always eat at La Choza and Casa Denis.

Diver Kat when did they move? Had a DM recommend Parilla OMG LOVE at first bite and was cheap. We are always at Wet Wendy's on Friday for the music and town square eating whatever the locals have cooking on their tables.

Loved the old Parilla Mission and had been going there for YEARS! Not sure when they moved, but they were at the new spot when we were there in November. Although I don't think they'd been open there long. The format was a bit different - you ordered your meat, but everything else was on a side table buffet style. Don't know if that's the way things will stay, or if that was because they were just getting rolling at the new spot.

I love the hole in the wall restaurants. Short list of my favorites. You may question your surroundings on the way there but the food is worth it IMHO.

El Moro: Way deep in town. Taxi driver will know where it is. Frequented by divers. No Cruise Ship peeps! Garlic Conch!!!
La Perlita: Not quite as deep but just as far out of the way. Stuffed Grouper!
Los Otates: Just a couple blocks of the main drag but not a tourist trap. Great Tacos, chips and guac.
Ernestos: Actually on the water but still qualifies as hole in the wall. This is my fav breakfast spot. Eggs benedict.

Hope this helps. Enjoy! Going in June and can't wait. Kids are already screaming for Tacos @ Los Otates.

We always make it to La Conchia del Caribe for lunch when in Cozumel. Awesome seafood, my wife loves the Conch ceviche.
