Accidental Recipe

I was making Salmon like I always do:

Filets on tray
Sea salt
Ground pepper
Garlic powder

Usually put cut lemons on top before baking, but hadn’t made it to that step yet.

I step away for a minute and come back to the kitchen and my son has sprinkled Sweet Basil (dried kind) all over the filets and used the olive oil mister to lightly mist them.

Who puts dried Sweet Basil on salmon?? Well, we had no choice but to proceed. Baked them at 400 for 22 minutes. Couldn't believe it but they were fantastic and we have been cooking it that way since then!
