Thumbs up First buy, first great experience

So I'm a big guy... 6' 6" and 285lbs (not obese--big frame, big boned)... it's hard to find clothes that fit me in general.
I came out to Scuba Toys because my instructor/friend recommended the shop highly for the selection.

I was able to try on a couple of wetsuits (NeoSport, mostly) in 3XL and found that I'm just too tall. The seams would pull under the crotch and compress in the chest.
I don't know the name of the guy who helped me but he immediately suggested the XSpan version of the suit in the same 3XL size and ordered it for me with no charge until I could try it on.

Four days later I came back and tried it on. Another gentleman, Wayne I think, was awesome and offered to order in even brands that they don't normally stock just so I can try them on before buying.

This may be normal process (and I hope it is for ST) but it's highly refreshing to see and to hear such friendly comments on the situation. It's hard to fit us big guys and a lot of normal retail employees aren't sympathetic or helpful.

    Cheers!

Akona goes to 6'6" in 3-5XL. Check to see if you match one of these: http://www.akona.com/size_charts.php - I'm pretty sure ST is a dealer.

Many other stock wetsuits stop at 6'4" or less. I know Henderson does.

Or for custom contact Wetwear - http://wetwear.com/index.htm if ST can't find one that works.

Thanks! I'll check into Akona for my next suit. The NeoSport XSpan is great for my first suit (3mm.)

I looked at Aquaflite custom... I'd rather not go custom if I can help it.

The Akona are an okay wetsuit for the price. They aren't going to break the bank. The wetwear wetsuits are a step above but more expensive. My understand is the wetwear wetsuits are worth it but I've never owned one. Have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PQLrcKN2cA.
