    Oral Surgeon visit

Went to the Oral Surgeon to day for what was susposed to be a 20 minute deal. Numb me up, make 2 incisions, screw in healing caps exposing the implants. 1 1/2 hours later he sewed me up. It all went to h*** after he made the first cut. Seems like my jawbone decided to grow over both implants. So he had to remove bone today. My jaw is sore from all the pulling and holding. Can't even feel the incisions. He said the good thing is my implants are very fused to bone and I should never have problems of them coming loose. Nothing about my theeth has ever been easy.
And now for something completely different. Rai & more rain

No, I didn't drive my tractor thru the flood. I've built an Ark. I'm thinking instead of hay I might switch to fish farming.

After letting my gums heal from my last visit to the oral surgeon I went to the denstist today so he could take some measurements for the implant posts. He did his thing and said he would be right back as he was going to order them. WRONG!!!!!! they don't make that height or even close. He said he would call the surgeon to have him set up to remove some tissue above the bone. I seem to be a little strange as I'm growing bone in my old age, most lose it. Oh well it could be worse.

Actually, it makes sense to me. In the process of pulling teeth to get things set up, the jaw bone thinks it's been broken and starts to add calcification to the teeth sockets and in your case, got a little overzealous. good luck.

The Dentist says I'm an over acheiver; my twin says I'm just weird. The Dentist says he going to contact the mfg to see if they can make a custom post so I won't have to have more bone removed along with tissue. He said my jawbone grew 3 to 4 mm in depth. He said they normally place 2 or 3 mm high posts, I need a 9 mm to reach thru the tissue & bone from the base. I'm praying they can.
