    Zeagle Scout Size

I and my wife are to buy new BCDs for the first time.

Since we go to tropical area 1 or 2 times a year and usually we do 15 to 20 dives for each dive trip, we are considering travel BC. Comparing price and packability, Zeagle Scout is the most wanted candidate.

We usually dive warm water (82 ~ 86 ℉) and sometimes colder (64 ~ 70 ℉). Weight required for me is 9 lb and for my wife is 7 lb when we dive in warm water. And 1.5 to 2 times more for cold water. Is Scout Ok for our diving requirement?

I am 5' 11" tall, 163 lb, 32" waist. So I can choose M size. But my wife is 5' 6" tall, 115 lb, 28" waist. I think S size might be a little bit big. Other model from Zeagle has XS size but I can not find one Scout. Is S size OK for my wife? Is there XS size of Zeagle scout?

Althought we almost made up our mind but it's not fixed. We are open to any other recommemdation.

I just ordered a Scout last week so I should be arriving it this week. I chose it for the Zeagle name, the lightweight, and the price. I will let you know my thoughts on it when I receive it later this week..

I ordered a medium and I am 6'3 195 (not fat) so hopefully the size will be right..

According to Zeagle there is no XS just:
    Vest
    Measure Waist Size
    SM 28”- 35”
    MD 33”- 41”
    LG 37”- 45”
    XL 42”- 50”
    Shoulder
    Measure Shoulder to Waist
    SM 14”- 18”
    MD 18”- 22”
    LG 22”- 26”
    XL 26”- 29”

so see what linesup there and also im sure ST could give yo more insight on the size..will let you know my thoughts when I receive it later this week!

We do not offer size XS in the Scout. The SM is the smallest available.

    Thanks,

    Scott

Thank you NitroWill. I do not know what to choose S or M. Please inform me when you receive.

ScottZeagel. Then is SM okay for my wife? I can not understand in detail "measure shoulder to waist".

I think a small would be a better size for her..

To get the "shoulder to waist" measurement, have your wife stand up straight with her arms to her sides.

With a measuring tape, find the seventh vertebrae (the one that sticks out a bit on the base of the neck) and measure down her back to her belt line.

That number is the measurement you are looking for!

Do you have any plan to make XS size Scout? Or woman version of Scout? S size is too big for usual asian woman. Even I, not that small 5' 11", fit to S size.

I looked in Brigade but it's more than we deserve. We do not need integrated weight system, that much buoyancy, and bulky.

If you need smaller for a small woman, why not look at the Zena? Just as light as the Scout.
ScubaToys and Zeagle....it just doesn't get better than that!

I am also interesting with Scout for my daughter. Same problem; no XS - I agree Zena is good gear but the cost is double.
