    Now that's funny!

I think the best use for babies I've seen is as a method of birth control.
Make your niece or nephew babysit for a day....much more effective than 'The Talk'.

    Do they ever become useful?

Not made anything yet although I am thinking about making a rig for my scooter to hold a video camera and lights.

Ours is 20...still not useful, except for the grandbaby...It is true if you knew grandchildren were this much fun you would have them first.

My boy just turned 13. Actually, he has been very useful. He's not a diver yet, but enjoys going on trips. Since he is the biggest kid in his class, he is very useful with carrying gear. Did I mention he just became a teenager? I'm thinking these days are probably very limited now if not gone until he's in his 20's.

Suppose if you live on a farm or something kids are useful laborers. I don't know though, seems like in the long run would be cheaper to pay workers.

How about a good chunk of a regulator?

Well, I've made a double hose regulator out of a single:

That's the working assembly in a test can. Once I'm satisfied with my changes, it will be cleaned up and rechromed.

I've also converted an unbalanced single stage Healthways into a balanced
reg. That was an interesting project. The new internals are on the top, the old are below.

I am currently working on some new parts for older regs, and I'm busy rebuilding several double hose regs.

Oh, and I also made 3 of the trike motors(well, I helped; my wife did most of the heavy lifting on that project).

And I also wrote most of a custom dive log. It includes a few features that I haven't seen elsewhere. Of course, I think the first thing I do when learning a new programming language is to whip up a dive log. But this one is the coolest so far.

Once they are useful they move out
