Palau

Well I got to do just two dives. Only got to do one day and just 2 dives. The boat had 10 divers and 2 guides. I went with Nitrox and the rest of the divers were new and sucked down the air. I came up with 1000 psi on both dives. I didn't get to do the wreck dives I wanted to do either.

Now to the good part Lots of wild life and good vis on the dives. The first dive was a wall. I saw a black tip that was about 7 ft. A couple of turtles that I got really close to. I haven't messed with the pics yet, so I hope they came out. The second dive was the blue corner. Lots of surge another great wall. Lots of white and black tips. 5 More turtles, and lots of other reef fish.

I know I missed alot of good dives but, at least I had 2 good ones.

Good on ya. Glad to hear you at least got to the Blue Corner. Definitely the signature dive of Palau. Was Sweetie there?

I loved blue corner. They had us just reef hook off and dangle on the edge of the reef as so much bait for the passing sharks. Just hanging in space sitting still and watching everything go by!

Well at least you did go down and it wasn't a total lost. Who did you dive with? Sam's Neco or Dive Palau?

I don't like the idea of going up with 1000. That is why I do not like diving with the hurd. You never can tell who is going to be on that boat. You paid for a full dive and got 2/3.

BC is an awesome dive, when I went I actually saw bubbles whirlpool down in front of me coming from the divers above me (huge down current). Swam away from the wall to escape it. IMHO. I think that BC should be an advanced dive. Currents can be unnerving to greenhorns.

Where else did you dive? New Dropoff? The Channel?

wreck recommendations ?

We're headed to Palau in 10 days with Aggressor. Anyone have recommendations for particularly interesting wrecks we should make an effort to dive?
