Myrtle Beach Area Diving

Hello,
We have been invited to Myrtle Beach by some friends, and will be coming down in August. I dive NC a lot, but never SC. Can someone give me the scoop on where to dive in the area.

Thanks,
Kevin

I dove Barracuda Alley with Coastal Scuba last week. Their store is in North Myrtle Beach and their boat is a few miles north on the Little River. The Barracuda Alley site is about 11 miles off-shore in about 62 feet of water. The site is a man-made reef made from a sunken barge and several amored personel carriers. As the name suggests, there were plenty of barracudas aroung. Overall, it was a great 1/2 day trip.

Express Watersports out of Murrell's Inlet is a good op if you'll be on that side of MB.

From their site, it looks like you will be diving the Sherman. Is that correct? I heard good things about that site. I originally was going to dive there, but the dive got cancelled due to the weather. I did Barracuda Alley instead. Plan on doing the Sherman and possibly the Governor next summer.
