Silent World is top notch you couldn't ask for a more professional op!

I highly recommend them. Enjoy your dives.

I've done the bring in the New Year's underwater dive, but never xmas... I have to play santa for my kids

I've gone out with them a number of times and did my AOW with them ... I would recommend them ... good dive op! Very helpful with hotel arrangements, too.

Chris runs a top notch dive operation. You will not be disappointed. Dove with them last year and truly enjoyed it. Plus, they cater to tech divers if that's your thing. Even if it isn't that means that you can double up on wreck trips (make your entire two tank boat dive on the Speigel Grove in one trip for example).

I've been thinking of having the wife do her OWD cert with Silent World given all the talk about them. However, she's more interested in shallow reef dives and aquatic life than wreck dives (same goes for me too). Would Silent World still be good to go for cert or is there another dive shop in Key Largo that would be better if your interest is reef dives and sealife?

My daughter did her OW dives with Silent World, and dove amongst reefs. If you look at their schedule, they typically split the boats between the reefs and wrecks. If you wanted to look at another shop for comparison, Conch Republic Divers is just outside Key Largo in Tavernier, and I can highly recommend them also.

Thanks for the heads up - I wasn't sure if Silent World was setup more for tech n' wreck diving or not. On their website they mention something to the extent that usually their classes are private but at rates comparable to public - was your daughter's course private?

I've heard of Conch Republic Divers as well - in fact I'm trying to make a decision between them and Silent World for wife OW and my AOW.
