Help in identifying sea life...
What are the following? genus/species would be great for anyone that knows...
All of these were taken in Cozumel, Mexico 07/31/2007 Dwarf Blue Leg Hermit Crab (Clibanarius tricolor) Family: Diogenidae (thanks to No Misses for the identification) ![]() Arrow Crab (Stenorhynchus seticornis) Family: Inachidae (thanks to No Misses for the identification) ![]() Bar Jack (fish) (Seriola rivoliana) Family: Carangidae Yellow Spotted Stingray (Urobatis jamaicensis) Family: Urobatidae (thanks to torrey for identification) ![]() (ok I know it's an octopus, anything more specific would be great) ![]() Last edited by cyclical : 08-03-2007 at 05:41 PM. |

I am by no means an expert. But I do recognize a few.

Both claws are of equal size, and members of this genus are sometimes called "Equal-handed Hermit Crabs." Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe #3 is a yellow stingray with a bar jack.
