M/V Pacific Provider update

Ahoy!

as some of you have seen I am the executive chef (and divemaster) on the M/V Pacific Provider which is a 160' mothership for a private fishing club. We have been in re-fit for about 7 months and I have been on board (in shipyard) since 15th of march. I just wanted to update our progress.....we are so very close. We will be conducting the first safety drills tomorrow. Then Tuesday will be sea trials. The first time for us to have our boat underway under her own power. Very exciting! We are scheduled to sail seattle for san diego this coming thursday. We will depart with a skeleton crew to just get us to san diego. The Pacific Provider will leave Seattle about 90% finished and we will complete all the "pretty" work in San Diego. We will go operational sometime this summer and we will be the official auxillery (sp?) boat for all four of the Catalina fishing tournaments in September, then to follow up as the official tournament boat for the Bisbee's Tournament in Cabo San Lucas in October, then Mag Bay, PV, then all the way to Panama. Going to be a great ride! If you're around in San Diego, come and walk the boat with me!

Thanks for the update!!
What is the normal port and area your trips are out of? I have wanted to make a Baja trip for a long time. If there is a website for the operator please post.
Great pics, keep them comming......

We will be based out of San Diego, but really only be up that way about 2 months of the year. Probably 80% of the time we will be in mexican waters.

Click on either of the links in my signature, the "epyc" one is the official club website, the other is the blog I do for the boat. Lots more photos there.

How does it work? You have be be a member of the club and then pay for the boat time as well or is it more like a timeshare?
How do members get to the deatinations? Fly in and water taxi out to the boat?

Yup! gotta be a member....all the info is in the website....

We will manage members to and from the boat with private helicoptors and our launch.

Tight lines!
