Thinking of Iowa

My heart is going out to those poor folks up in Iowa...life can be so harsh. My prayers are with you all. I especially feel for the parents of the four scouts who died in the tornado. I can't think of anything that would be more personally devastating than losing a child.

I grew up in Iowa, and just moved to NC a couple of years ago. It is sad seeing many of the same places I used to hang out, now under water. The tornado was about 45 minutes from my old home town. They are a tough bunch up there, they all chip in to help each other out and will get their lives back in order faster than you can imagine once the water goes down.

Indiana has been hit hard with the flood waters but I think Iowa has us beat. Prayers and thoughts go out to them. I am beginning to wonder if the world will truly come to an end in 2012.
