Spain Vs. Italy Euro cup

well... just got home from a very fun German pub... and what can i say...


the game was very defensive... with few great offensive moves, and thats how it was for the first 90...then the overtime... and finally to excitement... the penalty shootouts.
well, in the end, Italy lost... (i have Italian in my background..., thats why they lost and Spain did not win... if you get what i am saying.)

The game was boring for most part... but that gave me alot of time to try new beer

anyways... comments on the game?

watched 11 meters only; didnt expect any good results form Italy in euro08 at all

To be honest, Italy didnt deserve to be n 1/4 finals, let alone semifinals. No hard feelings, but their group showing was horrible :-) , Romania should have went through.

italy wasnt playing with it's A squad to be fair... they have 1 on the injured list (needs surgery) and another couple guys missing in action for reasons unknow (prolly pissed off the coach at practice or something)

The best team is the team that walks out on the field, period. Who didnt/ couldnt play is irrelevant and each country can come up with its own excuse. (Just think USA BBal team) . Had Italy won the cup, no one would say anything about the squad which showed up. So, the same way one would take the credit, one should also accept the current results.
