Question Who will win? McCain or Obama?

The question is not Who do you want to win?
The question is not Who would be the best?

Rather, it is What's your gut feeling?... who will win in November?

I think its too close to call. Just as 2000 and 2004 showed, this country is pretty evenly split. Heck, I think the last real runaway winner was Reagan.

Heck, with 50 states, supposedly only 10 are in play and could go either way.

Initially it will be viewed as a victory for their supproters, but then teh American people will be the loosers. Increased taxes, poor support for our troops,(if the 'wrong' man wins, congress will make his life miserable), and ultimately a lot of political pettyness, and stalemate.
We always ultimatey LOOSE!

It is very close right now, but I think Americans want change. Unless McCain can really distance himself from Bush and his politics, McCain will have a hard time selling that he can make change. That isn't to say that I think Obama will be a change. Just that he may have a better chance of selling it to the voters.

Yesterday, the New York Times ran an article that attacked Obama for his close connection to the Ethanol lobby.

What's weird about that is;

1. The NY Times never attacks Democratic candidates.

2. It was over something fairly minor. Since the 1970s, every politician (regardless of party) from Illinois, Iowa, and Nebraska has been in bed with the Ethanol lobby.

This is a weird campaign season.

Indeed it is. I think Obama will win only because of his youth. McCain's too old and he'll lose over that alone.

I don't think either is a win for the people.

don't get me wrong I am a staunch jeffersonian, I think we should run them all out on a rail every 20 years or so.
