Hurricanes and carpet cleaning....

I just saw this commercial on TV about the Oreck XL vacuum cleaner. The claim they make has me a little confused. In their exact words, it supposedly has: "The cleaning power of a category 2 hurricane".

I guess my question revolves around the fact that I never considered a hurricane as something that "cleans" stuff. I always thought they pretty much f*kked up everything in their path, which resulted in the need to clean up stuff, but not that the hurricane itself was actually a part of the cleaning process. Anyone help me out here? Tim?

Hurricanes do clean out some of the riff-raff with evacuations. Also cleans out trailer parks real good too. JK

Seriously, having been thru well over a dozen hurricanes, they have been known to strip a tree clean of leaves, allowing for fresh growth, and help clean up a lot of leaves on the round. Our oak trees shed leaves year round, and the hurricanes clean that up for us.

Ahhhh, I see now. Makes perfect sense. I didn't even think about the trailer parks.
