It really, really, really, really sucks that our freaking media won't cover other areas of the world.

What a difference a bit of distance makes. The Bahamas, Turks/Caicos, Greater Antilles, and US have been taking a pounding, while the Lesser Antilles have been generally basking in soothing breezes, refreshing rains, and gentle seas. The Atlantic has gone quiet for the moment, but the 2008 season will doubtlessly express more fury. It is reasonable to expect more strikes on the Bahamas and Gulf and eastern coasts of the US before the late hurricane season storms remain at sea. Predictions for Mexico, Central America, and the Lesser Antilles are variable.

We have friends that flew out of Dallas Saturday for Cozumel and have been wondering how it was there.
