I am pretty sure that I am not the only diver out there that looks at a body of water, regardless the size, and thinks to myself, "Hmm, I wonder what it looks like underwater."

My question is this: how many people have dove in "unconventional" locations, such as city ponds/parks, golf courses, canals, septic tanks , etc (commercial divers excluded). I know that most people would consider me crazy for even considering diving in such locations, however, I KNOW I'm not the only crazy one out there.

So, what's the craziest "unconventional" place you've dove?

Lake Claire on the UCF campus, and am looking at diving a kind of sudo sink hole in the middle of Winter Park Fl (a really urban area) still researching it.

That Wii game, Endless Ocean (?) has an option to internet link to "other oceans", but I have no idea how to do it.

The game was fun, I would play it for one dive a night, but once I "finished" the game.... uh, kinda boring. Seems the ocean isn't so endless afterall.

Anyone know how to get to other simulation oceans?

There was a thing in a recent dive magazine... about public safety diving. One of the stories in there was about a guy that killed someone, then chopped them up and threw them in a septic tank. So they brought in the search and recovery divers from the state police... 25 minutes to find the body parts, 6 hours of gear cleaning and decon.
