English Italian Scuba Dictionary
Hey, I know that many will not be as excited by my latest find on the Italian scuba forum, but it is a dictionary specific to scuba!!!!! Those words are not in a standard dictionary and what good is it to speak a little Italian without being able to talk about your favorite sport/hobby!
Inglese-Italiano - Dizionario Inglese-Italiano I made my first post the that forum yesterday, just an introduction. Used the word for spearfishing instead of scuba diving apparently and generated a few replies as spearfishing with a tank is not legal there!!! Only when freediving. I have a lot to learn!L PS-I ALMOST titled this thread Miss Scuba part 2 but I'm feeling nice |

Not in the least bit Italian although my appearance would suggest it. I speak a bit. Now that I am not there quite as often as I used to be, I found myself losing much of what I knew so I am actually actually studying Italian for the first time.
I wasn't able to speak about my favorite new sport/hobby of scuba because none of my non diving Italian friends knew the English and therefore the Italian words. I joined an Italian scuba forum both to practice my language skills, learn the scuba specific language, and also get an idea where Europeans are diving so that next time I go visit friends in Italy I can add on a little dive trip. The scuba dictionary was a nice find today~ |

![]() I hope you get over there to dive soon, I remember some awesome places off the Amalfi coast, so many sea urchins and other sea life it was like a dense aquarium!

One of my dive buddies is a married lady with an 11 year old, but she protects a little bit of dive time for herself as her marito does not dive.
Most of my friends are in the North, but traveling is never a problem! I TRY to see one new place each time I go but it is hard as the friends are in Firenze, Milano, Genoa, Como, Modena, and Vicenza and I hate to miss seeing them when I am there. Do you know how the diving/sea life is in Liguria? That is my favorite region on land. Seems a lot of them also go to the Maldives and the Red Sea as it is cheap to get there for them. Quote:
