Home Weather Stations
I have one of those indoor and outdoor temperature weather stations that just died and I’m thinking about getting one that will do temperatures, wind directions, rain, and wind speed. There seems to be some nice ones in the 250.00 to 350.00 ranges that the remote sensors are solar powered and have computer hookups. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I had one of the lower priced set ups, it worked fairly well until one of the ice storms then it was questionable for a while. Never worked with the computer set ups, but I've heard good things.

If you live somewhere with weather extremes I'd suggest you not get a new one, because the reason your current one broke might be because of the elements. Granted, they are made to be moisture/frost resistant but such weather will drastically shorten the lifespan of your new weather station just like it did to your old one.
