Well, my wife and I just got our orders for our new assignment. We'll be moving to the UK (RAF Lakenheath) this August. Looks like my recent drysuit purchase was a good investment. Now I guess I should probably take a wreck diving course. I'm going to miss Japan, but it sure will be nice to walk into restaurant and be able read the menu.

My brother used to be stationed at Bentwaters, he said the weather there sucked and the people in general weren't that friendly. His best friend got killed in a bar fight there. He claimed nobody knew how to make a milk shake either.

Still, it's a change and I know that for a diver there is some neat things over there that I'd love to do.

Good luck over there. I spent 1980-1982 at RAF Bentwaters. When you have a chance, get as far away from the base as you can. There they will love you. There is much to see and do over there.
