Family members sick since Flu Warning? If Yes - What was done?
We were not diagnosed by a physician. No guarantee that your problems will be the same as mine, but here's what happened to us so far:
13 yr old had a mild fever & headache, tired, and did not feel like doing anything & coughing up mucus Wed, Thur., Fri., Sat., Sun., Monday only an occasional cough and he returned to school. No diarrhea, no vomiting. Tuesday-symptoms almost gone. Action: Fluids, tylenol, staying home from school 3 days to avoid panic. 50+ I Developed a mild headache Friday & Sat. with a funny feeling in the lungs. Sat. I started coughing up mucus and it appeared to peak on Sunday as I was exhaused after working that day & went to bed early. I am still coughing some up but much less and I think the worst is over for me. No diarrhea, no vomiting. Action: Fluids, aspirin, avoiding coughing while people are within hearing range at work except for coworkers, warning coworkers to wipe phone, keeping hands clean (soap-washed) while touching pens etc. used by others. Antihistimine/decongestant to help decrease coughing while at work.

I decided to start another topic out of this idea as it is very important in my opinion to require local access to the ruled out flu cases seen at local physicians to aid parents etc. in estimating if they too should go to a physician or if the odds greatly favor waiting a little longer.
We need local access to the symptoms r/o and percentages etc. easy computer work. I'll shut up. see other thread... Anyone else sick???
