I'm goin' to heaven!

So I'm heading East bound out of my neighborhood to get on Federal Highway. I Notice in the West bound lane there are 3 juvenile mallards crossing north bound without Mama heading to the lake there. One of the juvies has stopped at the median for some reason , and the other two are waiting in the west bound lane.

Now the sun is setting and I know these critters are invisible to west bound traffic. I take my '04 Wrangler and whip it around the median and do my best to block the traffic coming off the highway. I step out and position myself at the passenger door and retrieve a flash light. ( I don't know how long we will be here).

First car comes in. It is a couple who give me an atta boy. Then screaming around the corner comes young out of work punk who is living in mom and dad's seasonal home while driving dad's mid life crisis drop top Jag.

He starts busting my balls. I try to calm him down and he says he's gonna kick my ass. I said fine. Have at it. Now He was half my age and it would not have been pretty. But as anyone who drives an '04 Wrangler knows, the jack handle/tire iron is in a sleeve at the passenger door. LOL

Ducks made it to the pond.

Just remember: Karma is not big on forgiving! Jerk will find out at some point.

Good job. One of our co-workers stopped to help a turtle the same way; unfortunately he got run over by one of those jerks. Turtles ok though.

I stop for gopher tortoise all the time. Breaks my heart when I just can't get 'em in time and they get splattered while I am dodging traffic.

My home abuts a large natural preserve. Just last month I brought 2 home.

Man, to live that close to a natural preserve must be a dream!

Wow dude, I'm impressed, really. If you really have a sincere love for our animal friends, you should take up scuba diving. There's so much to love down there. Call me some weekend and I'll take you on the adventure of your life. All you need is a BP/W, HP100, Mask, and a set of "Flippers". I can hook you up dude.

P.S. BTW, not to be a pessimist or anything, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna take a little more than that one good deed to get you into heaven. I hope I'm wrong.
