Dilemma

Have become disenchanted with my work environment-boss is on me constantly to up my prodution but the market is stagnent-thinking about pulling the plug(have signifigant savings) and spending some time getting my head together while getting wet somewhere warm and sandy-would be better if was laid off then could collect unemployment so as not to deplete savings too much-do i wait it out and be miserable or just do it? any thoughts-husband says he'll support whatever i decide, he loves his job(so would i if i spent winters in FL)

Suck it up, would be my advise. You are employed. Now is not the time to be copping a 'tude.

There is a butt load of people thinking the same way. "I can make a career of my passion."

My advise, roll with the punches and wait for the economy to turn when all the other "dive professionals" have gone back to their real jobs.

You are employed. Keep it that way.

My position was eliminated in late January. To date, have not yet found a new position. SO, I'd recommend staying where you are and sucking it up.

Pull the plug!...take a month or more....go to Palau and then to Indonesia....make sure to hit Bali, Raja Ampat, Lembeh Straits, East Timor etc....go for it you only live once!
