Red face some times you're the tree, other times the dog

It has been"crazy town" at work all week-whatever could go wrong did and then some! rain for 15 straight days, people wanting off on one of our busiest days, double bookings, you name it-leaving for Ft Laud in AM-went to do web check in and had a note about my seat being changed-figured more of the same s**t i had all week but called customer service anyway-SHOCKING! they had overbooked and was wondering if i would mind being switched to 1st class for a nominal fee read Split Lip's post about weather, and even have car service from airport to hotel-Life has taken a turn for the better-like i said, sometimes you're the tree, other times you're the dog

Quick note to everyone, if you fly american airlines "often" or you are gonna take a LONG trip (distance wise) then before you fly out, make sure that you have a frequent flyer number and call american air, and ask to take the "platinum challenge". This is, fly 10,000 miles in 3 months... VERY VERY VERY easy if you are going over seas for a trip, or if you are gonna travel for work or whatever... then you can get free upgrades sometimes, other times you can buy upgrades for 30 bucks per 500 mile segment. Now if you are like I was, flying for work on a weekly basis to sometimes 3 cities per week, the you hit execuitive platinum and get free upgrades to first class, but for that you have to fly 100,000 miles in 1 calander year. I really have not sat in coach in quite sometime

The father of an old girlfriend was flying to the UK a few years ago. He gets to the airport and finds the airline has oversold the flight and he is bumped. They got him on the next flight, leaving in 2 hours, but his arrival time was the same as his original flight. ???! Turns out the next flight was first class on the Concorde! How cool would that have been!
