IMHO, gun control just keeps the bad guys more armed then the good guys... if they wanna break the law, they will find a way to get a gun... period... My only 2 changes to gun control would be #1, make ALL guns legal to own. #2 Require a mental health check by a shrink before the purchase of ANY gun, and every 6 months you still own a gun. This would stop the crazy people from getting guns right before they wanna go shoot up a school, and it would make people who are not true "gun peoples" not want to own them... and lets face it... what self respecting shrink would pass a "gangsta" who wanted to "show dem a leason"...?

Really, how many people who shoot up a anti gun zone(school) went out and bought the gun the day or week before. They already had the gun or got it from their family. This wouldn't stop such crimes. The people seek out no gun zones. They want easy targets and then almost always want to die themselves. Get rid of these no guns zones because all they are now are targets for criminals.

Seriously, I should pay a shrink every six months so I can own a gun. I'm sure the Brady bunch would love that idea as it's basically a tax on gun ownership. How much should a shrink charge for this. What happens when the shrink is anti-gun and starts to looking for anything to decide you shouldn't own a gun. ("Shrink" so you had a fight with your girlfriend the other day and where really mad. Or you said you went to the gym and played with the heavy bag for awhile. Did you want to hit your girlfriend.) Then you will be labeled by a professional. Will this end up in your medical records. Will the government have a list. This is one of the worst idea's I have ever heard.

I have no issue with proper background checks but do have issues with stupid laws and this would be one. I already have to fill out info about mental health when I buy a gun now.

Want good gun laws. National carry law. Simple background checks. Rigorously info current gun laws when guns are used in crimes.

That's priceless.

The scary thing is, some people probably actually think that!
