What made you happy today?

Seems like the whole world is falling apart these days. Two friends lost their jobs this week, two others have had their benefits eliminated and salaries reduced, and I think I have 4 friends in the process of ugly/abusive divorces. My life hasn't exactly been a cakewalk lately either as some of you may well know.

So in trying to find the part of the cup that is still half full...although it is harder than usual for me lately...what made you happy today? Extra points for small things.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

For me it was losing myself in 4 hours of opera (Aida) via a live HD broadcast from the Met on the big screen at the movie theater. Best 23 dollars worth of entertainment on the planet, better than the $200 seats at the Met itself. Love, passion, Verdi's amazing music, great voices, and the two people who truly love each other actually end up together, albeit buried alive in a tomb. Still makes me happy.

Last week we were told they are reducing our benifits.....just our insurance.
I did go shooting today and that always puts a smile on my face. We shot a gallon jug full of water with a .357 mag.

What a good idea I may steal it. I can't have a dog because I travel too much. I often borrow a neighbor's and am struck by the fact that dogs, not people, know what unconditional love is.

That does sound like fun. I've been having quite the urge to shoot at something or put my boxing gloves back on and hit something lately, lol.

Just insert the sports team you support in place of them.
