If Obama hasn't done enough to deserve a nobel peace prize, he most certainly doesn't deserve to have his face on a coin.

Man, I hope so! Otherwise, I don't see where new jobs will come from. Manufacturing pulled us out of the great depression, and high-tech pulled us out of the big recession of the early 80's, but I just don't see how we can hope to recover without some new source of employment (other than the construction and service businesses that have been driving the economy for the past decade +).
I'm thinking the commercialisation of space. It will generate ungodly sums of money and new industries. The launch costs will drop precipitously next year, and nearly evaporate within two years after that.

This means more work for scuba divers. The astronauts will need scuba divers to help as they practice weightless training in large pools.

Already in progress. Anyone hear what the results were from bombing the moon to see if the explosion might raise ice particles? If a source of water (ice) is indeed found on the moon, it will be full speed ahead for the rest of it.

You can find all the details at this location: Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite.

Thanks for the link. I did see a lotta detail in those articles, but nothing definitive on whether ice crystals were detected. I guess they're still in the analysis phase, as I'm sure a find like that would be plastered across every media outlet in the world.

And this link also.

The Deco Stop

If you are interested in space commercialisation:

Bigelow Aerospace: Commercial Spacecraft and Complexes - Space Business

Spaceport America

Mojave Air and Space Port

And Las Vegas is ground zero, one of the reasons I moved here.
