V: The Visitors

I was a big fan of this series in the '80s. I'm looking forward to the return tonight. The critics seem to like it, too. Unfortunately, the new series is missing my main lizard lady, Diana (Jane Badler):

//evil, dangerous, cunning, beautiful
//my kinda gal

Previews look good. I too hope it has some sci-fi/action/suspense/ & charisma from the lead actors. The woman alien appearing from the sky looks like she has the charismatic traits needed; However, we'll have to wait to see tonight.

It's missing Diana, true, but somehow I doubt that she'd be quite the way we remember from the original series (serieses?).

As a consolation prize (and what a consolation prize it is!) we get Inara Serra (Morena Baccarin) of Firefly/Serenity fame. RrrrrrrraaaAAAAWWRRRR!

(I liked her better with long hair, though)

Can't wait for the premiere tonight! I have plans with friends and won't be able to watch it until well after midnight, I suspect, but I'll be staying up! (ilovemytivoilovemytivoilovemytivo)

You can really tell that series was made in the 80's...even the alien lizard people had "big hair". I'll be tuned in to the new version too.

The '80s series also starred Robert England. A few years later, he would become Freddy Krueger, The Nightmare on Elm Street

I enjoyed the original, when I first saw it. I watched the re-runs on Sunday. Wow, was it cheezy.

That is so true.

I watched it all weekend myself and it was the series that got me thinking about my small pox vacination post. Mark Singer's scar was clearly visible in one scene and it occurred to me, release the bug on the Visitors, after all the humans were all vacinated..NOT..in the eighties.

(and no. neither chemicals nor herbs accompanied that random thought. )

So far so good.

Opening scene was well done.

MILF and a sultry alien.
