Survivorman

Has anyone else seen the episode that starts off with diving? This is my first episode ive seen but it seems kind of gimmicky..

I saw so many wrong and incorrect things on there..

Makes several points about how dangerous diving and the ocean in general is..
Says it takes 3-5 years to become a good diver..
(Not to mention while he shows bad trim and terrible streamlining
He gets on shore and throws his regulators UNCAPPED into the sand multiple times..
He continues to use regulator uncapped and throwing into sand until later in the show he cuts a tiny part of the 2nd stage tube to use it for a straw

And dont get me started on the things he magically had...

Ok, thats the end of my rant

I just watched the same thing. I loved how when he got out of the water both 2nd stages and gauge console are dangling everywhere.

Also, did you notice how far down his tank was positioned? How can anyone dive that way?

More importantly, did you catch the episode of Blue Planet that came on before hand? Amazing stuff!

This show is just so much crap..
He keeps getting more and more things yet he is "stranded"..

He is apparently dong all the own camera work as he is the only one on the island too yet there are so many different camera angels when he never moves once

My only defense of Les Stroud...he carries multiple cameras and sets them up around him before getting ready to "do something." That having been said, how the heck would he film himself from distance away if he was in truth solo diving?

I do also agree on the lack of coincidence with the things his crew just happens to give him. I do not in the least believe that he is completely vulnerable and on his own. At least we don't have reports yet of him checking into the EconoLodge in the midst of filming. Yet.

I think that Suvivorman is better than Man Vs Wild. It is funny to see how the camera people on Man Vs Wild always are right with him as he is doing the "extremely dangerous" feats.
At least Suvivorman films his own stuff.

I highly doubt he is filming his own stuff..

Midway into show he said 2 of cameras were broke and he only had 2 left..Yet he was sitting on a log and they kept showing him in 4 and 5 angles while he kept talking which doesnt make sense...

And then they showed underwater shots when he had one hand on a torch and one on a spear..not sure who was moving the camera then either -b ut couldnt have been him..

There is little truth in survivorman. But if you take the attitude of the wild wanting to defeat him and root against him, it does get really funny. My ex-gf and I used to do that every time it was on. You can also turn survivorman into a drinking game really easy. Remember that little of reality tv is truly real.

I'll have to check out this diving ep. SOunds like more entertainment!

They gave away the show with the dog sled episode. When a warm front blew through he and the entire crew, snow mobiles, camera gear and everyone had to be evacuated by helicopter, because the ice had melted back to land. Turned out that the crew was never more than 1/4 mile from him.

They do seem to be giving Les more and more stuff on these newest episodes where he is in exotic places. I believe that his crew is close by at all times. He was particularly well equiped for the scuba episode (although I didn't see him dive). They even gave him fish hooks. Looked more like a day at the beach to me.

I can not even stomach the man vs wild commercials. I feel compelled to change the channel. They should rename the show lets make up stunts and try to use cameras to make them look cool. Don't even get me started on that float down the river with the life jacket under his shirt.
